Located north east of Fremont in Sherman Township, Windmill Gardens was once an annual field trip destination for local schoolchildren, scout troops, and civic organizations. Owned by the Strovens, themselves a long established family in the area, the site is a collection historical buildings and equipment of significance to Newaygo County. It is currently closed.
